Project: Duval
About this Project
This project is especially unique because the clients had the home built over 30 years ago tailored to their style and needs. We were excited to give the home a well-deserved face lift while staying true to the rest of the home’s existing features and design.
We updated the bathrooms, kitchen island, added some built-ins into the living room, reworked the primary bedroom closet, replaced the carpets on the upper floor and refinished the existing hardwood on the main floor. Completing the renovation with some beautiful new furniture, area rugs and lighting.
The design intent for the upper floor bathrooms was to create a calming space with a soothing colour palate and using materials inspired by nature.
The powder room, located on the main floor, originally had a pedestal sink and no storage space. We replaced this with a larger vanity. The new vanity was appropriately scaled to suite the size of the bathroom. We chose materials that were like those seen throughout the rest of the main floor to create a sense of belonging and continuity. Our favourite change was the unique new ceiling lights that attach to the wall for a pendant-sconce hybrid look.
The furniture was carefully curated to suit the clients’ needs and personal style while feeling refreshed and aligned with the home’s existing character.
