Builder: Condoworks
About this Project
This 1300 sq.ft condo is located in Yaletown’s waterfront district. Our task was to update all finishes throughout the space and incorporate our client’s main objective of introducing more natural light throughout this 2 bedroom and 2 bathroom home.
By opting to widen the main hallway, we were able to successfully achieve their goal by allowing light to now reach the back end of the condo, creating a well-lit space from the moment you enter the foyer.
Equally as important was the task to integrate the kitchen and living spaces. We removed the walls separating these 2 rooms & the adjoining sunroom. The sunroom has now turned into an eating bar with storage and a wine fridge. Additional special mentions:
-
- Integrated fridge and hood fan appliances allow the space to appear larger.
- A built-in coffee/serving station with stone counter and backsplash.
- Two glass display cabinets on the back of the peninsula.
- Two-tone gray cabinets help to brighten the space. The warm tones from the hardwood floor, wood stools, brass hardware & faucet.
In the Bathrooms:
To achieve a timeless spa feel we chose a greige (think grey meets beige) large format tile, a midtone stain on the cabinetry and a black finish on all the hardware, lighting and plumbing fixtures.
Both bathrooms are adorned with large showers with built-in niches and the inclusion of floating shelves, which is a great way of breaking up the wall tile behind the vanity and mirror. Combined, all these details and finishes created a tranquil space you will want to spend more time in.
