Project: Hamilton Street – New Westminster
Builder: Grenor Homes
About this Project
We partnered up with Grenor Homes to update both bathrooms in this New Westminster condo.
The clients had an important list of must-haves for their renovation that through special material selection and planning, we were able to transform the spaces from dated and boring to inspiring and timeless.
Layout-Main Bathroom:
The addition of floor to ceiling tiles on the vanity wall not only brightened up the space but added interest with its Hexagon shape. Selected from Ames Tile, they were paired with our favourite larger format concrete tiles from Julian Tile for the floor and tub walls. A new, minimalist, glass panel on the existing tub highlighted the addition of the niche. To add some more storage, a roll out basket was incorporated into the vanity and some floating shelves above the toilet.
Layout-Primary Bathroom:
The mirrored medicine cabinets and open shelf cubby added value to this room by: increasing the storage, adding a space for decorative items, and integrating LED strip lighting. A custom cabinet to house laundry and towels was added to the space along with functional drawers on the vanity. The existing shower base got a makeover with new tiles, niche, and glass panels.
Materials-Bathrooms:
Canadian owned and operated companies have been highlighted in this project; the woodgrain Tafisa Laminate used on the millwork, the Kuzco lighting fixture, the millwork handles from Marathon Hardware, and the plumbing fixtures by Riobel all came together to create these stunning spaces.
